Laura Brown attended the Norwich Free Academy in Norwich, Connecticut, where she began a lifelong love of painting. Laura went on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the School of Visual Arts in NYC.
After creating art and illustrations, Laura returned to earn a post-baccalaureate certification to teach fine art. She has taught in the public school system and continues to teach classes for the Arts Guild of New Jersey, the City of Rahway, NJ, and at her Westfield, NJ studio. She continues to make art, has painted murals and art for commercial installations. Her work can be seen at South Avenue Arts in Garwood, NJ or Gallery on Main in Woodbridge, NJ.
Laura has exhibited her artwork in Group and Solo Exhibitions & Shows including: Emerge Gallery, Saugerties, NY; Mishkin Art Gallery, NYC; The Artist Framer Gallery, Cranford NJ; Pearl Street Gallery, Elizabeth NJ; Norwich Arts Center, Norwich, CT; Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, Summit, NJ; The Atrium Gallery, Morristown, NJ
Laura Brown's Illustrations have appeared in numerous magazines and books. Her paintings are included in public and private collections. She accepts commissions for custom paintings and portraits.
